6 January: The Liberation of Ceyhan

6 January is a meaningful day on which Ceyhan’s determination in the cause of independence and its spirit of unity and solidarity were written into history in letters of gold. As the result of a struggle waged by our esteemed nation with faith, resolve and self-sacrifice, Ceyhan rejected captivity on 6 January and safeguarded its freedom and honour.

This meaningful day symbolises not only a liberation but also a turning point at which the foundations of a strong future were laid. Drawing strength from the struggle for liberation, Ceyhan has today reached an important position in industry, production and employment, and makes valuable contributions to our country’s development goals.

As Ceyhan Organised Industrial Zone, we aim to crown this strong legacy from the past with production, to contribute to our country’s economic development with our industrial strength, and to leave future generations a stronger Ceyhan. With the sense of responsibility that the spirit of liberation places upon us, we continue resolutely to work, produce and grow.

On this occasion, we remember with prayers, gratitude and thanks all our heroes who contributed to Ceyhan’s struggle for liberation, above all Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, and we extend our warmest wishes to our esteemed nation and our fellow citizens of Ceyhan on 6 January, the Liberation Day of Ceyhan.
